Well our bags are packed, the van is loaded, the kids are sleeping. In the morning all we have to do is wake our 2 little darlings very early (hopefully), and give them their blankets, strap them in their carseats, hook up Elmo, and we are on our way. What a fun week this has been! We needed to get away for a few days and relax, have fun with family, and make some more fun memories as a family. The first day we enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo. Lina'e absolutely loved it! Kagon? Well, he enjoyed his snoozes in the stroller and an occasional glance at the lions and elephants. Lina'es favorite part, I think, was the sea lion. As she "hugged" the glass, the sea lion would swim right up to her and swim past her, and she thought that was the neatest thing ever! She would give one of her cute smiles, and would continue to look through the glass waiting for her sea lion to come back. The zoo trip ended by Papaw taking her into the gift shop to pick out a couple souvenirs including a kangaroo and her joey and a cute book entitled A Trip to the Zoo. How fitting! By the time we were done at the zoo, all of us were so hungry!!! We ended up at Red Robin...YUM! The rest of our trip included lots of BBQ, parks, a fish hatchery, the pool, Starbucks, yummy restaurants, going to the beach, etc. The kids loved being with Papaw and Grandma Grinstead, and so did we. Vacation always goes by so fast, but it is always good to be back in your own bed, and your own home sweet home. As we finish up this week with some rest and a 10 hour drive back, we are excited with the new chapter of life that awaits us back home. Will starts his residency in about a week, Lina'e is going to start going to church school once a week, my sister had a new baby, etc. I am so thankful for all the Lord's blessings, especially family. My family = My world.
